Four Restaurants Now Fully Open!
Four Restaurants Now Fully Open! 06/09/2020
We’re delighted to announce that THE Chinese Buffet now has four restaurants open and serving our customers once again but with a new way of doing things. If you liked THE Chinese Buffet before, you’re going to love it now! The Chinese Buffet Wigan was the first to reopen in July, followed by Liverpool and then St Helens, with Bolton the most recent to reopen at the end of August. Lockdown gave us an opportunity to totally redesign how we do things and develop an exciting and safe way for you to enjoy THE Chinese Buffet Experience, giving you confidence and peace of mind to return to the restaurants after a long period of absence in difficult times. A number of fundamental changes have been made and the new experience centres around continuing to offer the ‘eat as much as you like’ buffet style menu, with the emphasis on keeping customers safe and providing as much as possible a contactless experience. The innovative Table Buffet Service allows you to select ‘Tapas’ style dishes from an improved and extended menu, which are delivered to your table by our team. When you arrive you will be seated and won’t need to move around the restaurant at all, allowing you to maintain social distancing and a Covid Safe environment and don’t worry our staff will all be wearing appropriate PPE too! Through a newly developed app, easily downloaded to mobile phones, you can book, order food, drink and even pay too, in a seamless contactless experience and our staff will be on hand to talk you through the process and order your first dishes for you, to get you going and even take the orders for you if you don’t have a mobile phone. The new service was introduced during a very busy period when the government ‘Eat Out To Help Out’ scheme was running, which meant our staff had to work doubly hard to get things running smoothly but the results have been fantastic, with many of our regular customers telling us they love the new service and ordering app. So if you haven’t yet been back to one of our restaurants since lockdown, we’ve decided to continue to offer 50% OFF food for anyone dining on Fridays throughout September and hope you’ll come back and see what all the fuss is about with our new Table Service Buffet. We hope to see you all again soon. To stay up to date with branches reopening and the new innovations available near you, follow THE Chinese Buffet on Facebook. www.facebook.com/thechinesebuffet

Did you see us on Channel 4?
Did you see us on Channel 4? 28/02/2017
We were featured on the Channel 4 Programme, 2,000,000 calorie buffet last night, 27th February 2017 narrated by Johnny Vegas who is a regular customer of THE Chinese Buffet! It was a fantastic programme showcasing all of the hard work our team does to ensure our customers have an amazing dining experience with us. You would have seen our Operation and Food Consultant, Dave Newton talking about the 3 tonnes of Sweet and Sour Sauce we go through every week as we serve tens of thousands of customers weekly – as well as the delicious seaweed that we serve. Although the seaweed isn’t our own recipe, it has been around for many of years and is very labour intensive! Unlike many other buffets, THE Chinese Buffet uses high quality, freshly prepared food which is freshly cooked on site, we have a centralised distribution which is a purpose built production house in Wigan. The design of our food display is to create a more enjoyable dining out experience so that our customers can enjoy many different types of dishes without overeating, our motto is “The smaller the potion, the bigger the selection”. Our restaurant also has a 5% variance in dishes depending on the head chef, which is why some of our dishes may vary by branch. Although we do have a time limit for dining depending on the session, we will never monitor individual customer’s consumption, we understand that we don’t make money on all of our customers, we welcome all customers and our main mission is to encourage customers to enjoy as much as they can without wasting dishes. If you didn’t get chance to see the fantastic programme last night, catch up on Channel 4 online with the link below! http://www.channel4.com/programmes/the-2000000-calorie-buffet/on-demand/62770-001
